The Mad Motorists The Great Peking-Paris race of 07 Allen Andrews

In the summer of 1907 a group of motorists, inspired by a challenge in the Paris 'Matin', set out on a fantastic journey that few would attempt today: a 10,000 mile motor trip from peking to Paris.

Five cars participated. heading for Paris by way of the Gobi desert and the central Asian marshes, taigi, tundra, and steppes.
